Congratulations KYEO & NARC, It’s A Beautiful Baby Media Company!
There are few things worse than shameless self-promotion and tooting one’s own cock, so I’ll try and keep this succinct. This Thursday, January the 26th, we’re hosting a little party and we’d dearly like to see you all there.
“What’s the occasion though!?” I hear you bellow. Well, if you haven’t heard, after a few months of drunkenly texting each other at 3am, ourselves and the good folks at NARC. magazine have finally started going at it like a pair of nervous freshers on someone else’s sofa bed. Best of all, we even didn’t wake up the following midday and regret the whole thing, so now we’ve moved in together.
Thus Remember Media was born, the idea being that by combining the two entities we can bring you one brilliant resource for local arts and culture that encompasses print, online and video. We genuinely think you’re all going to love it, so we’re going to be raising as many glasses as possible with a special party at The Cluny 2.
Featuring live sets from everyone’s favourite Bird-Rock bastards B>E>A>K, the ever-ferocious Chased By Wolves, as well as Symphonic Pictures and Ghosts of Old Berlin. An absolute treat regardless of the occasion, but there’s even going to be the first batch of the latest issue of NARC. (the first one we’ve done as a pair) for your delectation.
Don’t just take my word for it though, I’ve OD’d on calpol and would think anything was brilliant. But Claire Dupree, who as you all know is to NARC. what unmentionable chicken parts are to McNuggets, shouted at me from across the office; ”Thursday’s gig signifies the beginning of a beautiful friendship for NARC. and KYEO, we’re really proud of the first issue we’ve worked on together and can’t wait for the music loving public of the North East to get their hands on it! Plus it’s a damn fine excuse to watch some excellent bands and toast our first issue together.”
Not only that, but B>E>A>K themselves were overheard to squark; “Why should people come on Thursday? Because they know it makes sense. But, if you want a more detailed answer then refer to this simple equation: Great Local Bands x Great Venue x The Marriage of NARC & KYEO = A brilliant night out for just a fiver!”
