Preview: Ku Bar Gigs

By Mark Grainger on April 12, 2012 in Music, NARC.

Stockton’s Ku bar, that wretched hive of scum and villainy (in a good way) has announced a slew of new gigs taking place throughout the spring and summer. And by jove, there’s some corkers.

The venue, which also played host to one of the five stages at Teesside’s Stockton Calling festival on Saturday 7th April, with bands including Young Rebel Set, Dexters and Collector’s Club appearing throughout the day long festival, will kick off the spring in fine style. April will see sets from White Light Parade (13th), The Mexanines (20th) and Dirty Bullets (27th), whilst May sees The Green Hour (4th), Bleech (11th), The Janice Graham Band and Randy And The Handstand Band (18th) amongst others play. Moving into the summer, Hounds Below (1st June) and Howler (6th July) take to the stage.

Looking ahead to the autumn, Ku have also announced that Jon McClure’s Reverend And The Makers will make an appearance in October.
