The South Shields event brings together the talented musicians, singers and DJ’s of the North East to create an outdoor music festival at The Rosie in South Shields on Saturday 7th July.

Its purpose is to help raise money for The Claire Coiley Trust which helps to fund research specifically into osteosarcoma, which is a form of bone cancer.

The gig features the South Shields sextet Minotaurs, who are set to play the charity festival at 6pm. After being a little too quiet for the past year they appear to be emerging from their hiatus by playing the low-key gig. Whilst they seemed to temporarily disappear from the gig scene they’ve been spending their time in the studio writing and recording, so perhaps we can soon expect to hear some new music from them too.

Also playing The Claire Coiley Trust Music Festival is Bethan Amber Carr Brown, The Resurrection of Craig David, Sarah Ketchin, Jill Anderson, Nicola Farrell and a variety of DJ’s from 9pm onwards. Aside from the music raffles, a BBQ, festival food and a great deal of face paint will also be on offer from 3pm until 3am.

The Claire Coiley Trust Music Festival commences this Saturday, July 7th. Entry is free.
