Preview: The Ginge, The Geordie and The Geek
By Lizzie Longley on July 20, 2012 in Stage
The Ginge the Geordie and the Geek are back for what is expected to be another critically acclaimed tour. The group were born in 2008, with almost instant success they managed to have two sell out shows in 2010 and 2011 at the Edinburgh Fringe. Recently they have performed alongside the likes of Michael McIntyre, Miranda Hart, James Corden, Catherine Tate, Jimmy Carr and Johnny Vegas.
It’s no wonder everyone wants to work with these boys, their humour is quick, silly and surreal. With a combination of hilarious sketches, bizarre costumes and blasting the 80s classics in between, it’s impossible to be left bored by such a performance.
If you’re the sort who doesn’t like leaving the house and would prefer to spend all your days lying on the sofa watching TV do not fear, The Ginge the Geordie and the Geek have also managed to bag themselves a new television show with the BBC. Watch this space.
However, if you do occasionally enjoy venturing out the house, the best thing you could possibly do with your time is to go and see The Ginge the Geordie and the Geek at the live theatre on 27th July. Unfortunately, the show only lasts an hour so you may have to follow the lads to their next gig if you really feel the need to experience the whole thing all over again.
