EXCLUSIVE: Split Parade Line-Up Revealed.
By Adam Clery on July 23, 2012 in Music
Following on from last year’s feast of feathered frolicking, Split Parade is back for another year. Split Festival’s sister event, charged with highlighting the best in local talent, 2012 has a bumper selection to feast your eyes and ears on.
Spread out across Sunderland’s Holmeside, and mercifully giving you an entire week of recovery before the festival proper, all the shows and performances are free – they’ve even managed to schedule in some comedy, cabaret, secret acoustic performances, and other delightful surprises. Naturally, there’ll be an afterparty at Independent, running through until eye-watering hours of the morning.
But, as with the festival itself, it’s the bands that will attract the greatest interest. So, without further ado, here is the Split Parade 2012 lineup in full…
Nately’s Whore’s Kid Sister
Big Beat Bronson
Matt Stalker & Fables
Sons Of Bido Lito
Putting on our best news faces, we got organiser Emma Howe to tell us this; “The whole Split team are very excited about this years Parade. We have some new partners involved this year, a new venue and a lot more music on show. It was a big deal for me personally last year to work with so many colleagues to put on the parade and it just shows how Sunderland is a pit of music goodness, hopefully the public will be even more positive in their response to this years event. They should be, the lineup is one of the strongest I have seen for a local event and we can’t wait to get our Beak on up Holmeside.”
