PREVIEW: The Gogo Returns

By Andrew Openshaw on July 25, 2012 in Music

Following the closure of the Cooperage back in May, Newcastle’s best rock and roll party The Gogo has been without a home. The toon’s mod and modette army have been like lost puppies, skulking around record shops, fixing up their mopeds or staying in their rooms and dancing with their reflection in the mirror to The Faces back catalogue.

But never worry, this Saturday The Gogo returns for a special summer party at Newcastle Universities’ Student Union.

For 9 months The Gogo consistently sold out the iconic Cooperage on Newcastle’s quayside and organisers are hopeful that they can pull the crowds back to this new venue in the heart of the City.

Described as “The best night on this summer, it’s not to be missed!” tickets are £4 and can be bought in advance from Steel Wheels record shop, The Dog & Parrot OR you can get in touch with a ticket rep and they can deliver them to your house, free of charge. Advance tickets guarantee your entry plus you get Q-jump and a free drink .

The Gogo returns this Saturday 28th of July. Follow the link to the Facebook page below for more details.
