The Westgarth Social Club on Southfield Road in Middlesbrough has become so much more than just a place for ale drinkers to hang out. The venue in the centre of the town first opened its doors 100 years ago, and has lately become the place of choice for the cool kids to hang out, with promoters like The Kids Are Solid Gold, COSMOS, Pay For The Piano and Peg Powler Gallery making it their home.
With a host of live music events, art exhibitions, political evenings and open mic nights under the venue’s belt, they’re now branching out even further thanks to the help of Lolly&Sibbs Events to host their first Vintage Fair on Sunday 12th August. Co-organiser Siobhan Callaghan is excited to be able to offer the Westgarth’s punters something new. “We’re sure that this event will be as much fun and as successful as the other events at the venue have been. It’s great to be able to hold an event that will raise the profile of local businesses and help build relations between like-minded people in the hope of holding similar events in the future.”
A range of vintage stalls will be selling everything from crafts and clothes to accessories and records from companies including Vintageous Rags, Ack! Ack! Ack! Records, Zero Clothing, Itchycoo Vintage, Yesteryear Shed, Nancy Loves Nails, Candy Says Vintage and many more. There will be live entertainment to keep you enthralled as you shop and, as well as a licensed bar, the Olde Young Tea House will be on hand to provide homemade treats and teas from around the world.
The Vintage Fair takes place between 12pm-6pm and entry is £2.
