PREVIEW: Fresh Hell
On Sunday 26th August there will be a special edition of Fresh Hell at the Star & Shadow Cinema in Newcastle. The event will feature Coldcut, Godfathers of DJ/AV culture and creators of Ninja Tune, one of the most respected independent record labels in the world. As well as DJ’ing, Coldcut’s Matt Black will also be playing live using the soon to be released App for iPad and iPhone, Ninja Jamm.
DJ Raj Pannu helped bring the event together. “The basic premise has become the old cliché of quality music, in an intimate venue with talented artists who don’t necessarily get enough exposure for whatever reason.”
Also making an appearance will be UK hip-hop pioneer and legend, Juice Aleem. He is a solo artist and one third of the influential collective, New Flesh.
