PREVIEW: Horse Meat Disco
The Horse Meat Disco collective has its head firmly on the body of the 1970’s New York party scene, but on Saturday 1st September they will bring their vessel to Newcastle’s own Star & Shadow Cinema. For those that seek a night that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and that is leagues away from pretentious clichés, you’d better make sure your commitments the day after are dismissible.
The London based four-piece of disco revivalists bring their internationally renowned blend of dance music, drag and debauchery to Newcastle – if you expect the average club night, expect to be surprised. With 10 years of experience and residency slots in Berlin and Lisbon, their ticket has already heated up and such an opportunity should not be taken for granted, especially when this will cost you a mere £7.
Brought to you by Endless Race, who recently hosted Soft Rocks DJ’s, they continue to bring acts to the Star & Shadow that employ a strict, uncompromised ethos of having fun.
Horse Meat Disco appear at the Star & Shadow Cinema, Newcastle on Saturday 1st September.
