PREVIEW: Return of Newcastle’s Make & Mend Market

Now in its fourth year, the Make and Mend market is returning after its summer break to the Grainger Market on September the first with hidden treats galore! It is Newcastle’s biggest independent monthly arts, design and handmade market that alternate’s between the Star and Shadow, Ouseburn and Grainger Market.
It is the ideal place to pick up something unique but won’t cost the world. Often it is full of bargains and a Varity of products n the stalls that anyone can go along and pick up something. For you can go and pick up something nice from the of stalls selling a collection of jewelry, vintage clothes, cards, handmade crafts, book, house furnishings, music, food and even comics.
Just some of what you can expect in September includes Poor Girl’s Kitchen who have a specialty of cooking cookies in all flavors and sizes. Then there will be Purple Magpie with her quirky jewellery and accessories, Comics and prints from Paul Thompson (a local artist known for his horror series Tale of the Hollow Earth) and a lot more in store on the day.
You can feel guilt free if you have a shopping supurge for the market is only once a month and the ethos of recycling, DIY and been open minded, a change from the same high street shopping experience.
