PREVIEW: NARC. & KYEO.tv Present… The Cornshed Sisters
By Adam Clery on September 17, 2012 in Music
What’s got 8 legs and makes us here at NARC/KYEO HQ squeal loudly at the mere mention? Why, The Cornshed Sisters, of course, and we’re especially delighted to announce a super special show with them next month over at The Green Room in Stockton.
You may remember a few months back we caught up with the girls about the release of their new album, well it’s been quite the summer for Jennie, Cath, Liz and Marie with their varied musical palette of guitar pop, gospel, folk and protest songs turning heads the whole country over.
They’re supported by three wonderful and diverse acts as well in The Bluebuds – a melting pot of styles, from pre-war jazz, blues and country, to contemporary pop; The Lindsay Tin – a new musical endeavor from members of d_rradio, Jeans goes POP! and Dark Sky Singers; and Dressed Like Wolves – an awesome songwriting and a bewitching vocal talent that shares Bright Eyes’ delicate nature. All for £4? In THIS climate? Don’t ask us how.
After the wonderful time had by all on our last venture down to Stockton’s Green Room (when we brought The Lake Poets and Collectors Club together for an evening of much-needed European Championship diversion) we’re dead excited about how much fun this glorious melding of pan-regional styles is going to be. It’s October 20, kicking off at half 7/8ish, so come down and say hello.
