NARC & KYEO.TV Presents… The Cornshed Sisters

By Adam Clery on October 17, 2012 in Music, NARC.

In our continuing mission to host a gig for every single mint band in the North East, we’re very proud to announce we’ll be hosting The Cornshed Sisters at Stockton’s lovely Green Room venue on Saturday 20 October.

Since releasing their debut album on Memphis Industries earlier this year, the girls have garnered much praise for their varied musical palette. Featuring a hypnotic mixture of guitar pop, gospel, folk and protest songs, their stunning harmonies and unified melodies are a joy to witness live. This will be a really special performance in such intimate surrounds.

Ably assisting the ‘Sisters are The Bluebuds, with a stripped down set featuring their melting pot of styles from pre-war jazz, blues and country, to contemporary pop; relative newcomers The Lindsay Tin bring their atmospherically dark folk pop to proceedings; while the bewitching Dressed Like Wolves presents his superb songwriting and delicate Bright Eyes-esque vocals.

We loved our last gig at the venue, with Collectors Club, Lake Poets and Phil Saunders. It’s rare to get such a respectful and fun-loving audience in such a lovely intimate venue, so we can’t wait to regale the good folk of Stockton with another great line-up. See you there.
