PREVIEW: Blacklisters @ The Cluny 2

If you haven’t already seen the video for Trickfuck by Leeds noise-mongers Blacklisters, head on over to YouTube, you’re in for a treat. A barely dressed lady fellates a banana, band members spew copious amounts of black goo and two oiled-up bodybuilders get, erm, friendly with each other over the wonderfully mind-bending noise that is Trickfuck.

Signed to the mighty Brew Records, Blacklisters’ live performances are a force to be reckoned with; relentless and riddled with dark humour, they thrash out an onslaught of filthy riffs that have drawn comparison to The Jesus Lizard and Pissed Jeans. Blacklisters bring this aural assault to Newcastle’s Cluny 2 on Friday 26th October with support from hard-hitting local lads We Are Knuckle Dragger, who recently recorded their debut album with the legendary Steve Albini, and hotly-tipped Newcastle stoner-rockers Bison Hunting.

Blacklisters, We Are Knuckle Dragger and Bison Hunting play The Cluny 2, Newcastle on Friday 26thOctober.
